Before you buy a sofa
- Measure the wall, then take off 15–20cm so the sofa has room to breathe rather than looking wedged in.
- Seat depth matters more than overall depth. 55–60cm suits most people; deeper suits taller frames and loungers.
- Measure your doorway, hall turns and stair width. The diagonal is what decides whether it gets in.
- On a corner sofa, confirm which side the chaise sits on as you face it — left and right are easy to get backwards.

An L-shaped sofa is described as left-hand or right-hand facing depending on which side the chaise sits when you stand in front of the sofa looking at it. Made-to-order models in this range can be built either way, so the chaise falls where your room needs it, against a wall or opening onto the room. Tell us the layout when you order and we will confirm the configuration before the sofa goes into production.
Corner Sofa Beds and Recliner Corners
For a spare room or a living room that doubles as guest space, the Cedar L-Shape Sofa Bed uses a steel-sprung mechanism and the Rustic L-Shape Sofa Bed adds a matching storage ottoman for bedding. For everyday comfort, the Dubai, Perge and Pristine corner sofas can be specified with reclining outer seats. All of these are made to order, so you choose the fabric and the colour. Fabric Choice and Made-to-Order Corner Sofas
Most corner sofas here are made to order, which is why the same design appears in different fabrics and colours across our showroom and gallery photos. You can view and handle fabric swatches at our showroom in Kylekiproe, Portlaoise, Co. Laois, or ask us to post samples. The Elantra corner sofa is on the showroom floor to sit on.
Delivery, Installation and Warranty
We deliver and install nationwide. In-stock corner sofas are delivered within 7 to 14 working days; made-to-order sofas take about 12 to 16 weeks, confirmed when you order. A 50% deposit secures a made-to-order sofa and the balance is paid before delivery. All furniture carries a two-year warranty covering manufacturing defects. Corner Sofa Questions
What size corner sofa do I need?
Measure the longest wall and allow at least 60cm of walking space in front of the sofa. Most corner sofas in this range sit between 250cm and 340cm on the long side. If your room is under 3.5m on that wall, start with the small corner sofas above.
Will a corner sofa fit through my door?
Corner sofas are delivered in sections (the corner unit, the chaise and the straight seats), so a standard 80cm internal door is rarely a problem. Our delivery team assembles the sofa in the room.
Can I see the corner sofas before I order?
Yes. The Elantra corner sofa is in our Portlaoise showroom, open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm, and we keep fabric swatches for the made-to-order designs.
Do you deliver corner sofas outside Laois?
