A blackout roller fits inside or outside the recess and suits most windows. Perfect fit clips to the glazing bead of tilt & turn windows with no drilling โ€” the blind moves with the window and seals closer to the glass.

The fabric does. What lets light in is the gap around the blind โ€” which is why fit matters more than fabric. A made to measure blind in a cassette with side rails gets closest to total darkness; a free-hanging roller will show a thin line at the edges.
