Made to Measure Goblet Curtains

A goblet heading gathers the fabric into rounded, cup-shaped pleats — like a row of wine glasses along the top of the curtain. Each goblet is hand-formed and padded so it holds its shape. It’s the most sculptural heading we make.

They’re at their best on tall windows and high ceilings, where the pleats have room to make a statement. In a room with a standard ceiling height they can feel heavy — a French pleat gives a similar formality with a lighter top.

Mid-to-heavy fabrics that hold structure — velvets, heavy linens and lined cottons. Lightweight or sheer fabrics won’t keep the goblet shape. Interlining gives the fullest, most luxurious result.

Traditionally from rings on a pole, which displays the goblets beneath the rod. They use around 2–2.5× fullness, so allow for that when estimating fabric with our measuring guide.
