Bar cabinets for Irish dining rooms and living rooms, from the Casto at €2,530 to the Nevada Walnut at €6,280. Each is a tall drinks cabinet, 100cm to 130cm wide and 141cm to 165cm high, with bottle and glass storage behind ribbed, fluted or curved doors, standing on the same gold, bronze or black base as the sideboard and dining table from its collection. The Casto serving trolley, glass shelves in a gold frame on wheels, completes the set.
All eight bar cabinets are made to order in the finish shown, so allow 12 to 16 weeks from order to delivery; a 50% deposit secures the order. These are tall cabinets rather than low sideboards, so check the ceiling height and the wall space. The Leora is the lowest at 141cm and the Casto the tallest at 165cm; widths run from 100cm to 130cm and depths from 45cm to 54cm, which leaves room for a standard bottle to stand upright on the shelves and a row of glasses in front. Allow 60cm in front of the cabinet for the doors to open fully.
In Ireland the two names are used for the same piece: a closed cabinet for bottles and glasses that keeps a home bar tidy between uses, as distinct from an open bar cart. Every cabinet here has closed doors; the Casto adds an oval glass panel so the display shelf is visible with the doors shut. A cocktail cabinet is the same again, usually with a mirrored or lit interior; the Parma and Ricamo are the closest to that description in this range.
Each bar cabinet takes its finish from a full collection. The Lyon, Casto, Ecrue, Leora, Galante, Senato, Ricamo, Parma and Nevada dining sets include the matching sideboard, table and chairs, and the same finish continues into the TV units and console tables for the living room and hall. If your dining room is already furnished from another shop, the cream Casto, Leora and Ecrue suit light rooms and the Nevada and Parma suit walnut and dark wood.
We deliver and install nationwide. Bar cabinets are made to order and take about 12 to 16 weeks, confirmed when you order. A 50% deposit secures the order and the balance is paid before delivery. Not as standard. The Casto has a glass display panel in the door; the others are closed cabinets with shelving. Ask us if you want lighting added to a made-to-order piece.
None of the eight is on the showroom floor at the moment because each is made to order, but the matching sideboards in the Milano, Deluxe and Aisha ranges are in our Portlaoise showroom, open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm, and we keep finish samples for every collection.
