TV Units in Ireland: What Is in the Range

Twenty TV units, all wide low cabinets built to carry a large screen with storage underneath, from the Prestige TV Unit at €2,100 to the Nevada Walnut TV Unit at €6,840. Most are 220cm to 243cm wide and 63cm to 75cm high. If you want the rest of the room to match, the same collections appear in our sideboards, coffee tables and console tables, and the full range is under living room furniture.

TV Unit Sizes: What Fits a 55, 65 or 75-Inch TV

A 55-inch television is about 123cm wide, a 65-inch about 145cm and a 75-inch about 167cm. A unit looks right when it runs at least 20cm past the screen on each side, so a 65-inch TV wants a unit of 185cm or more and a 75-inch TV wants 210cm or more. Every unit in this range is 220cm or wider, which is why they suit the 65-inch and 75-inch screens most Irish living rooms now have. Depths run from 49cm (Braga) to 58cm (Monaco), and heights from 63.5cm (Monaco) to 74.5cm (Ecrue), which puts the centre of a wall-mounted or stand-mounted screen at seated eye level.

TV Units with Wall Panels and Lighting

Five units come as a set with the wall behind them. The Prestige TV Unit has four doors, mirrored circular accents in a Metallic Shiny Sand finish and a matching wall panel. The Pera has three doors and a drawer in Metallic River Sand with a wall-hung panel that frames the screen. The Asos has four doors in Metallic Shiny Rouge with a wall-mounted panel. The Deluxe, in the showroom, adds LED lighting and a wall-hung shelf that doubles as a bookcase. The Aisha is a ribbed two-door unit in the same River Sand finish. Among the wood units, the Leora has integrated lighting behind its fluted panels.

Cream, Walnut or Black?

Cream units with gold or bronze trim (Lyon, Parma Cream, Casto, Ecrue, Monaco Cream, Milano, Leora, Como) are the largest group and match the cream sofas and dining chairs most customers already own. For a darker room, the Nevada in walnut veneer with vertical fluting, the Ricamo with its curved brown front and the Galante in beige and brown are the wood options; the Monaco Black in high-gloss with gold accents and the Braga with its curved front and gold frame are the two black units, so a separate black category is not needed. The Parma is available in both a cream version and a marble-top version with dark gold accents.

Delivery, Installation and Warranty

We deliver and install nationwide. In-stock TV units are delivered within 7 to 14 working days; made-to-order units take about 12 to 16 weeks, confirmed when you order. A 50% deposit secures a made-to-order piece and the balance is paid before delivery. All furniture carries a two-year warranty covering manufacturing defects. What size TV unit do I need for a 65-inch TV?

At least 185cm wide so the unit runs past the screen on both sides. All twenty units here are 220cm or wider, so any of them will carry a 65-inch or 75-inch television with room for a soundbar.

Do the TV units come with the wall panel?

The Prestige, Pera and Asos are supplied with their matching wall panel and the Deluxe with its wall-hung shelf. The wood units are freestanding cabinets without a panel.

Can I see the TV units before I order?

The Lyon Ribbed Cream and the Deluxe TV units are in our Portlaoise showroom, open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm. The rest are made to order and we can show you the finish samples.
